Johnson-Perkins & Associates (JPA) holds the distinction of being the largest real estate appraisal firm in Northern Nevada, serving all of Nevada and Northern California with primary focus on Reno, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Truckee and the Lake Tahoe area. Established in 1976, JPA has offices in Reno and at the South Shore of Lake Tahoe serving the commercial and residential real estate markets.
The husband-and-wife team of Stephen R. Johnson and Cynthia J. Johnson opened their appraisal business in 1976.
Mr. Johnson, MAI, SREA, is our principal commercial real estate appraiser and oversees our most complex projects. Mrs. Johnson, SRA, leads our residential practice - specializing in lakefront estates in the Tahoe Basin as well as larger residential properties.
Today, they are joined by Reese Perkins, MAI, SRA; Cindy Lund Fogel, MAI; Scott Q. Griffin, MAI; Daniel B. Oaks, MAI; and Benjamin Q. Johnson, MAI. These individuals comprise the core of our commercial practice, servicing client needs on a day-to-day basis. JPA senior staff members possess over 200 years of combined appraisal and consulting experience.
JPA provides appraisal and consulting services to a prestigious list of public and governmental agencies including Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA), U.S. Department of Justice, Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority, Nevada and California Attorneys General Offices, Departments of Transportation in over 10 states, and most municipalities in Northern Nevada and Northeastern California.
